Ever have one of those days. It starts off well enough and then - disaster.

Whats the worst that can happen in a house - the drains [sewer pipes] getting blocked of course. Well I tried plunging the mop up and down the toilets. no help. The inside toilet was "bubbling and burping" - Katie ran and hid. It sounded like an oninmus witches brew waiting to explode!! When flushed you stood back as the water kept rising and rising to the top.

My hand was on the phone book to ring Dyno-rod when my mother commanded - no such thing, you can do it yourself.

Amazing where you get the strength to lift these drain covers when the need arises and hurrah for rubber gloves. Even more so for small buckets. I wont go any further except to say with clear instructions from my mother I succeeded in clearing the pipe. My mother is delighted because I saved myself a lot of money and I am amazed that I actually did it!!!!! :cheering:

Its amazing what you can do when you set to it. Maybe I should take up a job as a plumber's apprentice :jump:
