I have a 1969 VW bug with a stock 6 port Mazda 13B Rotary engine complete. Its running a rebuilt Holley 650 DP carburator, custom stainless exhaust, stage 2 pressure plate and clutch (six puck), rebuilt alternator, 12a distrubutor and ignition coils. The fuel is regular gas with 2 cycle premix at 100-1 for performance purposes. Freeway flyer transaxle and EMPI shifter.Up front, where the spare tire was, is an aluminum Hundai radiator and dual electric fans. disk front brakes, upgraded sway bars, new tie rod ends, new 1968 steering box and good tires. Also the interior is good. Good headliner, custom upholstered door panels, bucket seats, power mirrors, CD sterio. The car over all is a good solid california car with no rust. Minor dings here and there with the worst on the front hood. Paint looks good at about 15 feet but shows its age.
This car is a lot faster than it was, about 160 ~ 170 HP. It quickly hits 70mph before leaving 2nd gear and is able to cruze at 70 in 4th gear at 2800 rpm's just fine. I've burried the MPH needle down by the odometer once.. 100+? It had a 2000 cc dual port engine before with dual solex carbs, elect. ignition, performance exhaust. Still no comparison. Engine broke valve... and leaked oil anyway, and was a slow p.o.s.. You can have the old engine, stock bumpers and all old parts for this car if wanted.. FREE WITH SALE ONLY. -$4000 firm. Interested buyers only. (209)923-0778
