EJ22 W/ Trans Interact Reply Quote Report To Mod Last Posts Ignore User Global Ignore Whisper Hey Guys, I am building a sand rail and want to put the EJ22 Subaru in it. The only thing that I am wondering is, how much hp will the stock vw trans hold up to? Considering the Subaru is almost double the power, would a bus trans be my best bet? How much are they good to? -Ryan

I was told that you should upgrade the gears to after market, and the the two side plates on the transaxle are converted to steel. but for 130 hp, i'm leaving mine stock.........we'll see what happens, it's not done yet, i'm trying to figure out the ecu wiring..... Mike.
