I have gotten oil for the e/t but I still have the shaft seals + on the front of the engine to replace--and I only ordered the crank seal tools when i need the cam seal tools too. 8 in all. the engine is set at tdc and the cam back / thrust plates are replaced with locking tools, due to their spring-loaded nature. I then jacked up the engine to access the crank wheels. I cut myself on a motor mount bracket [aluminum] in the process, so those will come off and get deburred and blasted for painting. this ocean air corrodes everything that's bare.
I cut a taiwanese 36mm socket to use on the cam cog. It has an 8-3/8" bolt up it's center that needs breaking loose, and this tool did it well.

so the crank was first to remove the harmonic balancer and its belt cog

the seal removal tool acts without scratching anything, but it does separate the lip from the seal- it was past its useable service life anyway

and the new seal is efficiently installed with a little wd40 on the shaft and some contact cement or gaska-cinch on the outside[case side] of the seal- that really seals it!

then i reinstalled the crank belt cog and it's dowell-- easy

I am waiting for the cam seal tools, although i just got the second cam locker yesterday from miller/spx tools. the next engine will be much easier to service with these tools.
