It is a reasonable assumption that the deposit was too small. Even real high-grade ore needs a certain quantity per driven foot. Then access would be costly. Add in power generation. Operating costs were bound to be high. Might make the economic cut-off for a one or two man operation drifting on vein. Might not. eric |

Invenio was following up on earlier exploration work done by predecessors. It's only a personal opinion, but my opinion is based on several years of research and mining in the area, that they are barking up the wrong tree.:confused: Theories abound on the source or sources of the placer gold that has been recovered at Ganes Creek. Hundreds of geologists have come and gone. The lode is still there! Last year, I staked and claimed four lode deposits on Ganes Creek. One 1600 acre group at the headwaters and three others about 600 acres to 1000 acres each below the camp at Ganes. - Geowizard |
