Hello all, I am coming up to Alaska this summer to prospect a yew areas and I want t make a hooka rig set up to bring along.
My idea would be to have a small motor 3hp and pump with a t-80 mounted to it but to be able to remove the t-80 when I am prospecting areas where I would be using the motor and the pump as a highbanker and then put everything back together when I am in a area I want to dive. I have built a lot of hooka rig setups for commercial shellfishing here in Florida but without a water pump on them. How do you set up the whole deal, motor, pump,t-80? Thank you, Seb |

Most of the major manufactures of gold dredge equipment use the same design for the small pump/engine combos. The engine has a 5/8" externally threaded crank shaft. The water pump bolts directly to the engine and the impeller is threaded on the shaft. A small pulley is slid on the shaft between the pump and engine to drive the Thomas T-80 compressor. The whole assembly is mounted to a motor plate that can be again mounted to your dredge frame or Tote Float. There are a few other variations but that is the most common design.

Thank you Randy, It sounds pretty straight forward and not to difficult.
