Im not gonna go up to make a living but have summers off and love prospecting. Right now i need advice: size dredge, engine, pump, compressor. second hand equipment that works. where can dredge be stored. Ive gotten hold of Nome visitors center and other outlets and gotten alot of good info but more from other people can only help. thanks to all

Re: Dredging Do's and Dont's

Put all your money for the project in an account and wait.go up this year and observe and take pictures, when all the people who have realized they aren't going to make millions and don't have the steel for the work, start selling off their failed investment buy the rig or components you need. Just take a bit of time and read the posts on here. Also send the supply you need all at once NEXT YEAR! this will give you an advantage...don't take my advice this is just what I'm doing...God bless and good mining.

Bill :welcome:

Re: Dredging Do's and Dont's

Search the forum and read my posts and the other posts on the threads I've posted to. I've answered most questions that you don't even know to ask yet.

Once you have some more specific questions I'll be glad to help. Basically, Darkstar is following the prudent method.

The main question you have to ask yourself before starting into mining is how much money and time can you afford to lose? That is your budget. From there, you can figure out what equipment you can afford. From there you can figure out where you can use that equipment.
