I'm heading off with my wife and a few friends to Arapiles for a week in a couple of weeks time. This is only my second trip there so still a relative new comer to the crag.
I'd love to hear from people their favourites. Their classic Arap's climbs. |

Melissa said she will busy doing her musicals, that wek you are in the araps. So she suggested that I should go for a drive.
Is anyone keen for a week at the araps for around Anzac day?? |

tannin is good. very pumpy for the grade.
lemmington 19- excellent face at the top. skink 18- suburb brolga 16- only if you enjoy slabs and have lots of small gear. watch tower crack 16- no crack skills necessary. muldoon 14- almost the crag classic! new image 20 - one of the best face route ive done. first move is crux and the gear is bomber all the way. the entertainer 18- far northern group away from crowds. highly worthwhile getting up there. lamplighter 14- a good juant. euridice 18- two pitches of entertainment and heart stopping joy. oceanoid 17- two pitches of 17 but the first is the best. can walk off at the midway belay or continue to top of pharos. kacoong 20- an overated classic but fun. not 21 in my book. no hard moves just mind games. plenty more. have fun steve |

Add Beautiful Possibilities 16 from memory and I think another called Thor ? 20/21 on the first block ya come into on the drive in...obviously tell its been a while since Ive been down there.
Hardest thing about Kachong is the 16 scary face up to the roof as the gear is spacious...oh yeah and the rope drag on the grade 8 headwall. |

Its Little Thor (20), and a really nice climb. Hell- if you haven't done Arachnus get on that- don't worry about the Grade, its a nice outing. (Bear in mind I am a mountaineer at heart).
D minor and Toccata are overrated. Muldoon is not- awesome. I'm going to be there the 1-3 May if anyones around. |
