The stars are a good indicator, I haven't done one I haven't liked. What are you looking for, faces, cracks, multis, exposure, steepness... When are you going down DOD?

Re: Best 22's and 23's at Arapilies

I'm looking for anything that doesnt have the words

1)crack
2) off width
3) searing
4) add 10 grades if you are straight out of the gym.
5) Spartan protection

face preferrably, roof is always good. There are a few in this bracket that say "in the same vein as Pilot error" (i liked that!) . I'm crap at arettes too, but would be good to try and improve this, so must get on more of them

leave dates are in from 13th April till 1st May.

we are setting up a MASSIVE Mexican free zone at the pines, complete with barbed wire and electric fencing. I am purchasing a ridiculously large NSW flag and sticking it in the middle of our compound. We will also have machine gun pits dug into the perimeter and sentry guns (like the ones in Aliens 2!!)

there will however be Carlton products in the compound (product of meixco)

Auto de Fae - 21/22 - Watchtower face.

This one will get you puckered up. 5/6 bits of gear in a 40m pitch.
Apart from that, it's great slab/face climbing.

Just leave rings and U bolts lying on the ground, surrounding the camping zone, mexicans run away in fear at the site of em.

i'm sure it will be the start of a beautiful friendship.

I reckon these ones are great....Collision Course (cool bee hive just off route and lower offs), Orestes (23 or less, wait in line), Despatched (very eggsiting for a scared little dod), Squeakeasy(way cool, gear better than bolts), Los Endos(nice view, but too funky for you, Dod), Pain Street(bolts, roof, and showy). There's loads more with stars, but I haven't done them, so you'll have to ask a mexican.

I'll need to find some worms to put in the bottom of the fire-engines to make them more mexican freindly!.

DOD's Mexico peace treaty ordanance:

500 litres of pink lemonade
1,000 Taco's (the new ones that dont fall over)
1,000 litres of Tequila
some NSW passports (shire passports, better still!!)
human sacrifice (NSWelshman I proposed it be wyt91T)
an offering for the Arapiles gods (maybe some old vintage fixed stem cams?)

The sacrifice should be an ACT climber, that way both NSW and Victoria can rejoice.

i agree, squeakeasy is a heaps cool route. it's probably exactly what you're looking for.

as you know, the mexicans do things a bit differently down there, so don't forget to take a phrase book.
here's one that will help you fit right in:

"yo quiero tener sexo donde estai las cabras"

Reaper, Second Coming, Scorpion Corner. All 22 and just your style too DOD. I'll be down there sometime after my liver transplant in Mar/Apr so I can help you drink some of your free piss and bash some of the Mexicans.

You F#$Kers are taking name calling too far. Is it any co-incidence there is a strong Sutherland contingent on this forum and there were recent race incidents at Cronulla? Is there any difference between incited interstate tension and inciting racism? This kind of stuff reminds me that I'm not proud to be a member of this forum, it's rude and embarrassing. Lift your game.

???"you F#$Ker are taking name calling too far"????

thats funny in itself asdki.

I think you will find that there is a fair bit of difference between having a joke with some victorians and what you refer to as racism.
I think we are all mature enough to make that distinction.

I also don't appreciate your analogy that Sutherland Shire people are racist, and I'm wondering if your comments are something that you've made off the cuff, in light of some media potrayal, or weather you actually have an insight into the relevant issues and centiments in my local community?.
Comming from an educated person like yourself, I think its an embarrasing comment for you to make.

nobody here condones racism or gang violence on any individual, and I dont like to see people in my area being bashed and stabbed 100 meters from my front door for no reason.

lets get real!, on a NSW climbing forum Mexicans are fare game in true / traditional / freindly interstate rivalry fashion.

If you don't like interstate rivalry...well dont read crag x, don't watch rugby league, dont watch afl, dont watch the cricket, dont watch the olympics, dont watch the commonwealth games, dont watch the formula one, dont watch V8 supercars and dont go climbing!

on a different note.

how was the holiday dude?

nice pictures on flickr!.

NOW..........THIS IS MY THREAD SO IF YOU DONT WANT TO TALK ABOUT 22'S AND 23'S AT ARAPILES YOU CAN F#$K OFF!

THANKS.

Before you go ALL CAPS all over my arse, here's an Arapiles route recommendation: Squeakeasy. If you do go do it, make sure you don't waste all your energy lacing up the crack and then fall off half an inch from the finishing jugs! doh.

Uh, yeah, probably not the best way to make a point eh? Ah well. Apologies to all you hobbits, I'm sure most of you have a thick skin from living in those little holes, hope we can all "dry our eyes" as Tony suggested. Smart guy there, it's just a pity about his face.
