New Arrival in NSW

Hi guys, I am going to be arriving in Sydney in two weeks as a permanent resident, I am a memeber of a great climbing club here in the UK and would love to get into a good club over there, preferably as close to the CBD as possible, does anyone know of any good ones, also after finding a climber partner to help me find the good crags and point me in the right direction with indoor walls.

I have a fair bit of experience with outdoor trad and sport as well as some winter ice climbing, outdoors Im at about a UK grade of HVS (Oz I believe this is about 14-16) with indoor/sport grades at about a 6b.

if anyone can assit it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Club wise you could try Sydney Rockies....

As for climbing gyms..there are plenty in and around Sydney depends on what suburb you end up living in that will dictate the closest ones.

Thanks for the replies guys, I am going to be based in McMahons point so pretty close to the CBD with good access to public transport etc, having a look at the indoors places they all seem to be a mission potentially on public transport though.

PT in sydney is the suck.....you'll need a car eventually...but your near a rail line so Climb Fit at St Leonards would be your closest one and is a pretty good gym.

Second Crax, public transport sucks, but;

St Leonards gym 10min train, 10-15 min walk

St Peters gym 30 min train, 10-15 min walk

Lindfield Rocks (real rock bouldering) 15 min train 15min walk

Fear Factory (real rock bouldering) 30 min train 20-30min walk.
