Canpus Board Angle 12.5 degree??

Few Questions

Constructioning a small Boulder /Campus wall combined

Does the Angle of a Campus board have to be 12.5 degrees?
Is this optimial just to keep legs out of the way or is there more to it?

Could you get buy with a 10 degree angle?

Any infofrmation appreciated

A

The idea is to have an angle just steep enough to keep legs clear and stop you hitting your fingers while moving up.

You might get by with 10 degrees, but wish it was bit steeper.

Bouldering walls need to be steeper, at least 30-35 degrees to be of any real value.

Make room for a hangboard if you haven't already, I got the beastmaker a few months ago and totally rate it.
