"Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I'll meet you there." ----- Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi-Rumi, 13th century Sufi poet.

"The Secret in healing Narcissism is not to heal it at all, but to listen to it. Narcissism is a signal that the soul is not being loved sufficiently. The greater the Narcissism, the less love being given." ~ Thomas Moore, 'Care of the Soul'.

Congrats, life and Balbrenny! Good for you too, Friendly. Have you considered staying out of trouble for longer than nine months? Might as well go for the gold, you know, a day at a time.

I called my best friend and told her about another friend who is freaking me out telling me if I divorce my husband it will be so hard on my son, etc. etc. She said something that was downright wise. She said, "You can't listen to most people's advice, because most people are very pessimistic. They expect the worst possible outcome. Experience shows us that the worst possible outcome rarely happens. Therefore, most people have perceptions that are inaccurately negative." That very statement has become a positive step in my healing!

I just finished my last final! I'm done with school for a month and it feels GGGOOOOOODDDDD!! :cookiemonster: This was a much more successful semster and I'm anxious to see my grades. I have reason to think I might have achieved everything I wanted and needed to for the semster.

I think meeting your x can be a good thing, Taran. Listen to what she says, then extract the wheat from the chaff. You may not agree with all she says ... and it's good to get feed back.

Congratulations, Friendly!!! Getting your life back is awsome.

Bikerboy, I'm so dang pleased for you. I'm not so far out from being a student that I can't empathize with you.

Caroling sounds like fun, Weiss. I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself so much.

I find that it always feels good to acomplish something I've been putting off, TC. I'm so tickled that you found the assignment so worthwhile.

I got my first paycheck yesterday ... yahoo!!!! I cashed it tonight!

Cheers!

Congratulations to all who keep the light of hope buring bright.

Its snowing hard here today so I cannot go to my appointment that would have taken me on an all day journey. So I have today as a catchup and time to think once again about moving to Florida. I am heat worshipper trapped in a frozen climate, :ohwell:

Thank you for this site. I'll count just finding it as a positive. My road here led through Sam Vaknin and the usual Doo doo so many others have talked about. I feel like I'm finally home.

The end of the term has got to be a good feeling Bikerboy! Congratulations!

I spent most of the evenings this week on various projects getting ready for my parents arrival. It seems that pleasing Mom and Dad is still a major goal of mine. I don't think this is such a bad thing so I'll post it here.

My husband was asked to play soft Christmas music at a Christmas tea. He took the opportunity play an original composition and stunned everyone there because they had no idea that he could play and sing. He had me sing a jazzed up version of Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song. The guests loved my husband playing and my singing. Some who were not in the room thought we were a CD! It made us both feel pretty good!

Peace & balance,

Nandi

Nothing quite like the weekend to make people think of positive things. I spent most of yesterday afternoon getting in touch with my innner child and playing in the snow. Unfortunately that included trying to play stunt man on the ice and I had a bit of wreck. My body is sore, but I feel good. Every once in a while we need to listen to our inner kid and go have some fun even if we come home with a few bumps and bruises. Its good for the soul.
