Riches-- I'm so glad you went to the police, and not just because they validated your feelings, but because this makes you much safer!

Had a nice day with my mom and son. Also talked about some hard things. Like I said, I'll post more about it when I get back.

Good job, friendly!!! Gotta go-- son wants to pretend we're eating hotcakes.

Riches, I do think it is a good thing you went to the police. I know how necessary the validation is and if it is that serious, you need to be careful.

I'm still just glad to be on the planet! Had a great evening with my boys and I'm spoiling myself at the hairdressers tonight!

Mel

Rags, I agree with Mel that the validation is very important and you need to take care of yourself.

I had a really good session with my therapist. The last one before he takes off for 2 1/2 weeks in Mexico. He only laughed when he asked if he was paying my way to come with him. (We've had almost two weeks of snow and bitter cold here. Have I mentioned how much I hate winter?).

Our session got right at the heart of several things that have been of concern to me. He gave me a lot of homework and said he has confidence I'll grow a lot during this time. I appreciate vote of confience but Id still rather be in Mexico.

Yesterday a lady friend I know somewhat well asked if I would go with her to dinner and a movie this weekend. I was stunned when she first suggested this but after a slight moment of hesitation I agreed. This will be my first date in a very, very, very long time. I'm excited, but I'm also nervous beyond belief. Right now there's nothing more than two people seeking companionship. Hard to say if there's any chance it will go beyond that. I feel like a teenager getitng ready for my first date. Its kind of all consuming in my mind. I hope I don't give it too much build up and end up very disappointed. It should be interesting if I can relax and enjoy it.

TC - do you want to swap places? Another 38C in the shade today - too hot! I'm feeling sapped and grouchy.

I did some more plastering today - another kilo of plaster. Most of the holes are now filled but it's too hot to do much more. It's 8.30pm and the dogs are lolling with their tongues out. The positive about filling the holes my son has made is that I'm feeling hopeful/confident he isn't going to make any more. Maybe he will, but I keep noticing changes in him since he started the biofeedback. I know that he has only had a few treatments and I'm aware that I might be seeing changes because I want there to be changes but a couple of other people have commented on differences in him :claphands:

Its great your going out on a date, TC. I hope it goes well for you.

I have been miserable at work lately and the result has been that I've been snarling and snapping at everyone, worse than usual. I woke up with a start this morning and decided that its reached a point where I can no longer take it. This is really effecting all parts of my life so I've given my notice. It feels good and I look forward to whatever new challenges are out there for me.

I'm getting my very first snowboard lesson this weekend. Needless to say I called my insurance agent to make sure the plan is updated, including accidential death. :npdhumor: Seriously I'm looking forward to this. Its a chance to spend quality time with my kids and to learn something that looks interesting. I'm not the greatest athlete in the world. Massive understatment. But I've learned to treasure these moments with my kids. If you don't hear from me for a while you might check the local hospitals.

Have fun on your date TC. Just meditate or say a prayer beforehand and try to stay in the moment. Of course, we will be expecting a full report when you get back. :npdhumor:

Speaking of prayer, I have been remembering to do that a lot more often and it always seems to work when I do.

It is a lovely 2 degrees outside and it doesn't feel much warmer in my apartment, but I am curled up under my electric blanket, where I might stay until spring.

TC its like Cool said. We are expecting a full report on this date. My T person convinced me to make an appointment with a career counselor and he has me convinced that I need to try and finish college. I never even thought about this until he suggested it. It seems like a lot of hard work, but I'm thinking about it. One part of me wants to do it. I guess I';; find out how strong that part of me is.

Drac I hope your able to line up another job pretty quick.

Its been an interesting week. I heard a rumor that the person who I briefly dated has already dumped the next person. Not entirely sure the info is accurate but if so its telling me that I'm better off without her. I've decided to go very slow and just hang out and see what happens.
