Favorite TV Shows

What are yours? Here are mine:

-Seinfeld (best show ever)
-Roseanne
-Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
-Gilmore Girls
-Life with Derek

As you can see, I like some of the classics. Feel free to debate here as well.

Re: Favorite TV Shows

There's not really much tv I watch anymore. At the moment my favourites are (don't know which of the first two other you guys apart from DJ Sponge, have heard of):

Brainiac Science Abuse/Test Tube Baby (a crazy british science show, where they love to blow up things)
Top Gear (recently became a favourite or mine. But not so much because it's a car show. It's quite popular even with those who aren't even into nor know nothing like me about cars)
Emperor's New School (although they really need to start showing those new season 2 episodes here in the UK)
Help I'm a Teenaged Outlaw
8 Simple Rules
Recess

That's about all I can think of at the moment.

Re: Favorite TV Shows

Another one I just thought of is I occasionally watch Rockos Modern Life and E! News (gotta catch up on the gossip sometimes) whenever I remember. Some All Access specials. I don't know if this counts but at the moment I am watching most things Happy Feet related (looking farward to seeing the movie).

I used to like watching baby and child behaviour programmes like Supernanny. Most people I know are into reality programmes like Big Brother and X-Factor, but they don't really appeal to me.

Oh I hate reality shows!! I hope it's one of those trends that will eventually pass. I just saw Happy Feet. I think I'll start a thread about it. I'll post what I said on my journal.

Re: Favorite TV Shows

I'm more of an anime fan, but I don't actually like alot of the popular stuff like Naruto. Instead, I like things like (not all of the following are anime tho) : [all are in no particular order except the forst one!!]

1. Transformers (G1, Beast Wars, Armada)
2. Neon Genesis Evangelion (although I wish they ended it a bit better)
3. Dare I say... Tutenstine? I liked it because it was Egyptian themed. Haven't seen it in ages though.
4. SD Gundam Force (...) and the original SD Gundam (I never though Gundam could be so funny!)
5. Gundam Wing
7. House (actually this is my second most favoruite show)
8. Random animes, that I can't even think the names of.

I don't watch much TV, alot of the things I've got listed there I have on DVD. I love to watch House on TV though, but we have to wait till next year in australia to see it again.

I'm not a fan of anime, but that show that has Egyptian themes sounds cool to me. Nothing wrong with that.

I like anime, Skyspeed. NGE is good stuff (haven't seen the whole series yet though). House is good too.

Re: Favorite TV Shows

Tutenstien is funny yet a pretty decent show, considering it's made for kids. I usually hate kiddy cartoons, but Tutenstien was deffinatly an acception.

And yeah NGE is good; if only the man in charge of it didn't get board of it, and ended it so soon; it became really wierd (honestly the most whacko ending I've ever seen to an anime). I won't tell you what happens, but you'll see what I mean when you watch the last two movies.

House FTW lol

Re: Favorite TV Shows

Just FYI sky speed. We do have a nice spoiler feature in the menu to the upper right when you make a post. Some people like spoilers so you can write stuff in it there like this.

Spoiler: (Click here and drag downwards to view)

I'm spoiling the movie. Tee hee.

Re: Favorite TV Shows

No, you are right, you didn't. All Des was saying is that you could use the spoiler feature to let those who want to know what happened have info about it. I am one of those who does sometimes have a habit of wanting to know what happens in a movie/program series before I see it e.g. if someone dies. One thing that is annoying though are those forums that don't have the spoiler feature and you get members posting all sort if detailed info and they don't say spoiler alert. I was on a forum where exactly that used to happen and so evetually members were told they had to include *SPOILER* in the thread title or mods used to amend the title.

I've started watching NGE again. Cruel's Angel's Thesis is probably the best anime song I've ever heard. It's so catchy.

Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, all of the Star Trek series, the new series "Dogfights" on the History Channel, Taste Of America on the Travel Channel, and pretty much any show dealing with space or pre-history.

I like the Simpsons too, I'm just not a the fan I used to be. I do have all the DVDs up to season 9 so I don't have to watch them on tv anymore. Same for Spongebob. This is what I mean but I don't watch TV but I have a huge movie collection that I watch at my convenience. It's nice.

OH BOY! 3AM!!

Re: Favorite TV Shows

3AM? is that about the time you posted the message? I'm used to 3AM, quite often it's been passed that before I've noticed the time which I've been doing a lot for the past few months . The last week is really catching up with me though.

Anyway I've started watching Spongebob more again lately. There still doesn't seem to be that many new episodes here still yet.

I've started watching another program I've just discovered, which is really interesting. How it's Made. I'm not sure if it's shown just on UK Discovery or other international Discovery channels. It shows how different items are made.

 oh no. That was actually a SpongeBob reference when Squidward said, "Who's going to want a Krabby Patty at 3AM?" And then you see Patrick in bed, his alarm goes off and he yells, "Oh BOY! 3AM!" And eats a Krabby Patty in bed. Basically I was saying that I can what my DVDs any time even 3AM if I wanted to.

Re: Favorite TV Shows

Oh yeah, I get it now. That's one reason why I made sure to purchase my own tv and beg my dad to let me get digital satellite tv, with the condition of me paying for it. Also I talked him into getting me a dvd player. I'm hoping to get a new tv because the one I have is a tv/video combi, which makes it hard to record shows from set time as I have to leave my tv on all day if I set the record time. There's also my computer for watching our dvds and I would like to get a tv card for my computer when I can afford it. I don't think I can get all the channels yet that I watch and if there is one I'd never be able to afford it for a few years yet.

The only problem with watching dvds at 3am is the finishing time, especially if like some of the newer movies is that they are about 3 hours or almost. Oh well never mind, shows there's something then for the insomniacs :grin:.
