Never used a laser bore sight. Just get it on with irons and then make the scope/red dot come to where the irons place the shot and then fine tune. I co-witness when I do this. You know how I do it, I put the gun in the vise, static, and put a paper target out in front of it, then I fire a round into the target, and then I can dial the laser dot to the hole, works every time. This is why I have made my laser sight out of a dvd burner diode, with both the infrared and a regular red, in the same package, so they are locked together. It's not that easy to do it my way, when you can't see the damn laser dot. My nightscope-laser sight setup is back in action, it kicks ass and takes names, now. It was way too bright, so I put in a dim/bright switch, now. The bright is theoretically for longer ranges, although we are talking way beyond the range of any airgun, it's really just for the bright red, for daylight use. --- In my experience, the secret to happiness is learning to sort out the occasional good idea from an endless body of bad ones. BTW, I think a bore sight is awesome to see where a new airgun is going to check in before first shot... Works great. I was able to come to his rescue, for about $300 for 50rds. Actually, I made 60, but took the liberty of test firing 10 myself. Had to cut .30-06 casings down to an inch, and hand load it all.
