Thanks radical, there are other things I can do still to it, like an AR trigger frame that allows AR grips perhaps later on I will add that but am happy with her. Its a bit heavy of a gun but built solid as a rock. = )

Thanks Cam, it hits as hard as a real .22 or very close to it. I need to test some heavy pellets with it someday. Crossman came out with hyper velocity pellets that are 9.5 grams, those would fly .. might do over 1200 fps with them, they're expensive though for a tin of 250, I think its $25.00 dollars a tin.

I so wanted a MP44 since I was a kid. I seen ATI's version and thought about it. It kind of looks like a toy compared to the real deal though.
I agree the PPS-43 is a cool gun. I have a couple. One I am SBRing as we speak. I wish the ammo was still .08 a round. Best I have seen recently is .15. BTW the IO Inc. import is super simple to reactivate the stock and convert to full auto. My friend is a manufacturer. He built one in to a post sample. WHat a riot. On another note I almost have my British Sten Mark II built. Very excited about that ugly little gun. This whole gun craze thing has really put a damper on my collecting. With prices stupid.

The best Machine Pistol of WW2 and considered the best of WW2 in that it is extremely reliable as it is simple. 700rpm and shoots the 7.62x25, a seriously hard hitting powerful round.
This is the PPS 43. Produced in huge quantities allowing Russia's "RED ARMY" to carry them. http://www.ironmagazineforums.com/open-chat/176304-srm-1216-12-gauge-semi-automatic-fighting-shotgun.html In action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkLFaaDIufY My Semi Auto pistol configuration: ![]()

It was also rediculously overweight, and difficult to manufacture, since it had all milled reciever parts. Hitler's way of putting it is actually more appriate, an automatic rifle and a machine pistol are completely different kinds of animals. If I recall, those use 8mm mauser shorts, or 7.92 Kurz, or 7.92x33, to be exact. It's a short case version of the 8mm mauser cart. Most small arms firefights occur at ranges a less than 500 yards, the need for a 1000 yard rifle kind of went out about the same time as the battleship, that's for trench warefare, or snipers. I think the Russian Simonov rifle was the first, though. I just did some work on an SKS for someone, including the Tapco bolt mod, that was interesting. If you have one with the tapco stock and matching removable mags, you have to do that, else you have to hold the bolt open to change the mags out. What a pain that was.

It was originally designated "Maschinenpistole 44" (actually the first model was 43), or MP 44. Hitler renamed it to Schturmgewehr 44 or "storm rifle", the STG 44 for short. When it was originally introduced to Hitler he hated it saying it was "ugly"! ....Changed his mind after he shot it!
It is widely considered the "father of all assault rifles". Being the first true assault rifle. Although I do believe the Russians had the first real assault rifle before this one was made. Anyone know what it was?? If this one gun were introduced earlier in WW2, it would have been a game changer! It would have negated the the rifles we carried. ---Cam

Just got this today. What a hassle to finally get it!!
This is right now my all time FAVORITE .22LR I own. The GSG STG 44. As I have heard, it weighs about exactly the same as the real antique. And I'll tell you it is heavy!! All steel, no plastic except for the grips which were originally made of a bakelite type plastic. So that is consistent. I can't wait to try it out!! Check it out! ![]() ![]() It even comes in a "Raiders of the Lost Ark" "Ark of the Covenant" crate!! Cool! ........and the crate was made by the Amish in Pennsylvania, USA. Awesome "God-fearing" folk! I felt like I was going to have my face melt off opening the "Ark". ![]() ![]() Simply just BAD-ASS!! Highly recommended if you can still find one! ---Cam

Thanks! The Steel Storm is fun to shoot! Accuracy is not bad at all either. Especially if modded for HPA and made fully automatic like mine. It for sure is inferior to the Drozd, but it's worth the cost. There are not too many full auto bb guns available. And ya know once you have one gun, you'll want another and another, and..... ![]()

I made the replacement inner barrel from stainless steel and the outer barrel with brass tubing. Then I installed the vented barrel shroud over that. The real Uzi shroud threads are slightly larger than the one on the Cybergun Uzi. I just drilled and tapped for a set screw to hold it in place. No problems. Worked like a charm. Accuracy improved, but I have not chronied it.
