Re: Drozd performance mods

I was able to pop off the little black cap over the solenoid with a knife. It seems as though it was designed so that you can adjust the solenoid and put the cap back in.

When I look at the solenoid it is in the same position as a backslash ( \ ). Does anyone know what will happen if I turn it to another postiion? Will this by itself give me more power? No one seems to have commented on this adjustment capability.

Can't verify this one. Whatis the difference between placing resistor in parallel or replaceing resistor. Either way the easiest path for the current to follw is 50k as the standard resistor is 57k. However, when I did this it doesn't change the rate of fire at all.

Re: Drozd performance mods

On accident I tried to drill that little black cap over the trigger to get to that solenoid adjustment and I drilled right into and broke off the solenoid adjustment piece from the circuit board. This thing is insane now!!!! without that solenoid this thing fires crazy!! It only fires a little more than 30 rounds but its way worth it!!!! (Somethings you stumble upon on accident)

where do you get a 50k resistor. all that i have found are 47k...didn't work and 51k also didn't work. any ideas?

Re: Drozd performance mods-here it is

A construction of gun enables to boosts fire rate up to 900 RPM (15 shots per second) with all drozd parts still works normal. To boost fire rate needed to do some easy modifications with electronics. If you look at bottom side of PCB, you can see a 3 flat resistors connected to pins of fire rate control switch. Using soldering iron add in parallel a 50K resistor to resistor of middle switch pin (a switch position is 450 RPM). It will result a 900 RPM fire rate, when drozd switched to 450.

On the Drozd there is a small black cap on the right side above the trigger. It is the solenoid duration adjuster. If you turn it fully clock wise it will dump more co2 allowing more power but less shots per canister. Pretty cool. You have to take the gun apart to knock it out of the hole as it is glued in place.

Re: Drozd performance mods

The modifications to the Drozd are done in the valve assembly, on top of the magazine clip. Slightly lengthing the valve spring retaining hole should increase the stroke of the metering valve. Slightly increasing the hole on top of the expansion chamber would theoretically allow more air flow. If they don't work, you would only screw up one clip and not the entire gun. All these mods will void the warranty of course. Anyone willing to give it a go?

Has anyone gotten into the fine tuning of the Drozd?
I am looking for someone to come up with a way to hog out the valve to increase power to the point where you can use one CO2 for a single magazine fill. The point would be to have one CO2 last for 30 rounds, with max power output.
