Welcome Letter
Curious to know how that works. If you put in the <BbBoard="username"> does that automatically pick up the new member's name?

If this is indeed sent to their mailbox- is there a subject line?

If there is this welcome email - does there need to be a welcome page?

Re: Welcome Letter
Yup,

It's send to their e-mail. The subject will be "Welcome to <yourboardname>".

Wherever you put in <BbBoard="username"> , it'll change that to the new member's username. So, for example, with a new member "aMember":

Quote:

Hi <BbBoard="username">, welcome to our board!

would be changed to:

Quote:

Hi aMember, welcome to our board!

You don't need a welcome page to have a welcome e-mail.

Re: Welcome Letter
Ok .. so next question  Could I just put all the html coding that I have for our welcome page into the welcome letter ? I mean technically that should work, correct? Only problem being some folks who can't view .gif's or .jpg's those would just have the x's .. in theory that should work !

Re: Welcome Letter
Sure,

The welcome letter actually uses your default board template. So just keep in mind that you'll have the table around the edge anyway.. But you can use any HTML you like in there.

Re: Welcome Letter
How can I view what the letter will look like before letting it go out to new members ?

Re: Welcome Letter
Hm,

Guess I should include a preview feature. you could register a 2nd name, then post at your board with it, and that'd send you it... Might be a bit impractical thoughh..
