Quick question-posting restrictions
What is the difference between choosing 'users, mods and admins' vs 'members of this board, mods, and admins' when setting posting restrictions?

I want to change many of my forums so that only registered users are able to post...

Hi anne123456

A "member of this board" is someone who has already posted at least once, so that they're on your memberlist. A "user" in this context is someone who may be visiting your board, reading threads etc, but who hasn't posted yet.

If you set a forums Posting Restrictions to allow 'users, mods and admins' to be able to post/view/etc in that forum, then any registered BbUsername is able to do those things. If you set the forum to only allow 'members of this board, mods, and admins' to be able to post/view/etc in it, then only BbUsernames on your boards memberlist are able to do those things

Re: Quick question-posting restrictions
Users, mods and admins are for all registered members of any BbBoard..
Members of this board, mods, and admins are for only members of your board, even if they are registered with BbBoards they will not be able to veiw that forum until they join your board!
