V1.3.7 Released
+ New Features Update

V1.3.7 has just been released today. Here's a run-down of new features and improvements:


+ Banning by Email
++++++++++++++++++++++++

Admins, you can now ban users by their email address. To ban an existing member's email, click on "Edit Users" in your Admin Center, check the user(s), and select "Ban By Email" from the box at the bottom. Alternatively, to ban an email which hasen't registered, you can enter the email address in the box in the bottom right of the Edit Users screen and do the same thing.


+ Emoticon Sets

We now have a variety of Emoticon Sets available for you to add to your board in one simple click - click on "Edit Emoticons" in your Admin Center to view/install them.


+ Last Seen
++++++++++++++++++++++++

There is a new option on all boards - "Last Seen". You can see the last 15 users who have viewed the board. Admins, you can disable this feature in Edit Board Settings.


+ View All Emoticons
++++++++++++++++++++++++

When using the Emoticon Click Box, you now have the option of limiting the number of emoticons shown in it. If this option is enabled, there will be a link to a popup window to show all of the emoticons. Enter a value into "Maximum Emoticons In Click Box" in Edit Board Settings to enable.


+ Today's Active Threads
++++++++++++++++++++++++

You can now see Today's Active Threads - threads which have been replied to or started today. This feature shows threads active since midnight in your time, and can be disabled in Edit Board Settings by an admin.


+ Total Member Display
++++++++++++++++++++++++

The total number of members on your board is now displayed on your InfoBar. Admins, you can disable this option in Edit Board Settings.


+ To-Do List
++++++++++++++++++++++++

Remember to cast your vote for the features added to the To-Do list since the last release!


+ Minor Enhancements
++++++++++++++++++++++++

+ Edit Board Settings has been re-designed into sections.
+ User Levels have been added to the Memberlist, along with Last Seen.
+ Several things have been added to the new backend technology, which will allow them to change instantly on your server rather than the 3-minute delay from edit.bbboy.net . Not everything has/will be added.
+ More bug fixes..

awesome job, once again! i love the new pop up box for the smileys..and the last 15 on..and the total members of the board..and Emoticon sets...and well lets just say i loved it all!! Thank you very much for all your hard work!:loveya:

MAJOR thumbs up for the "Active Threads" feature! Our folks have wanted that for a long time, and the javascript version had more than its share of problems.

There's another great enhancement that hasn't been mentioned, that all you admins with boards that have cooking/recipe forums (or anything else that people might want to print), is that the print size is now much bigger.

Its default setting is 12pt (which is a printer font setting and possibly larger than some people would want) and you can make it bigger or smaller on the Easy Customisation screen. Even if EC is NOT enabled (for those using CSS only), it will "obey" the printer font size setting. :smile:

Just wanted to run by and throw roses at BbBoy and Pam....the new additions are great! I really like the emoticon popup windows and also the active thread list. We have a TON of recipes on our board so that print enhancement will be helpful I'm sure. Excellent release! :smile:

Hi Gordeger,

Welcome to Best Boards. :smile: It is already there-just depends on you to activate it. You would have to go into Edit Board Settings and set a limit on the amount of visible emoticons and the rest would appear in a pop up. :smile: Is that what you meant by getting It onto your forum?

If not you can let us know what you're wanting help with and we'll gladly point you in the right direction. BbV1.3.7 is live on all servers so it's already there. :smile:

anyway, i gotta give u people a lot of credit, i really enjoy the features u provide, and the customisation parts a great thing as well, allows u to make ur forum as YOU want it.
use ur own images etc. very nice.
