++++++++++++++++++++++++ V1.4.1 has just been released today. Here's a run-down of new features and improvements: + Auto-Answer ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins, there is a new feature in your Admin Center, "Auto-Answer". It will allow you to specify certain keywords, and if those keywords appear in the subject or content of a new thread being made, the user posting the thread will be shown your Auto-answer. They are then given the option of posting the thread anyway, or cancelling their post. This is mainly of use on boards where certain questions are asked very frequently. + BbUsername Swapping ++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you have more than one username with us, you can now easily "swap" between them. To set up swapping on your account:
+ Pre-Approval ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins, if you're using our "Member Screening" feature, you can now pre- approve members before they request to view your board. + Watch Thread ++++++++++++++++++++++++ You can now "Watch" threads. When you're watching a thread, it will show up at the top of the main board page, and serves as a quick reminder to who has last posted in that thread, and the time. + Notify & Email ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins, you can now disable the "Notify" and Email features, in "Edit Board Settings". + PM Improvements ++++++++++++++++++++++++ There is now a marker next to PMs you have replied to (only for PMs you reply to after today), and you can now see if the person you have sent a PM to has read it. You can disable the ability for other users to see if you have read their PMs in your "User CP"->"Edit Settings" area. + New Multi-Posts ++++++++++++++++++++++++ The "Multi-Post" feature has had a complete revamp. Admins can now do a "true" Multi-post - a thread which will appear in all the forums they select, and it can be replied to/deleted/edited in all forums at once. + Bulk Bump ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins/Mod, you can now "Bulk Bump" threads instead of having to bump them one at a time. + EC Main Page ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins, a new check box has been added to the EC screen - "Main board page only". This will make it so that you can make changes only to the main board page, and not all of the forums too. + Banned Members ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins, there is now a seperate list of the members you have banned. This will show people even if they are not members of your board, and is on the "IP Ban" screen. You can also un-ban people here. + Other Enhancements ++++++++++++++++++++++++ + Admins can now "Select All" on the Edit Users screen. + You can now use images for the "<" and ">" links in threads. + Keywords and description are now entered as meta tags. + The Edit Emoticons screen now shows emoticons in pages. + Small bug fixes. |

BbBoy, BbAdminMod and I composed the Tutorials and How To's in order to help new members get used to our system and I am delighted to hear you say that you found them useful. :thumb:Thank you hard_headed_woman, we really have come a long way in just over a year. I think that the many of the enhancements we've made are things that are not available elsewhere. That makes us very proud because we want to develop features that members want and will get use out of. |
