This is going to be an unpopular descision, but we will soon be deleting all free boards on the network.
On 10th April 2003, all free boards on the Bb server will be deleted. The other servers will follow in the footsteps after that date. Admins of free boards will be sent e-mails before the date, giving them ample time to either upgrade their board (or encourage members to Donate to their board), or find a new host.
We have recently noted that free boards are taking up way too much resources, and are currently (at least) making the Bb server unstable during peak periods due to abuse and overuse. Any problems you are currently experiencing with the Bb server will be fine after the free boards are deleted. In our experience, a lot of free board users like to abuse the service, and the result is a poorer quality for everyone. Note that this doesn't apply to all free board owners of course - a lot are perfectly genuine, nice board admins.
We are very sorry for this move, but it is the only way to go. With the upcoming product V2, we are moving towards a more premium market. V2 will be a downloadable product which you will be able to host on your own servers. Aimed towards businesses and power boards, but retaining all of our amazing feature list, plus more. Watch out for it.
To clarify, Fixed and Variable plan boards here will not be deleted - they will remain here as long as they have credit. Also, we are not at this time deleting any boards on the azure, denim, emerald or frost servers. They will be eventually deleted, but we're taking it slow server by server.

You can only do this if you're planning on paying by check/money order. We will be checking up on them, so please don't try to abuse this offer. There's always a few who will e-mail in and then not pay up.
If you're planning on paying by any of our other payment methods (credit card, paypal etc), then you will still be fine, and you don't need to e-mail in.
