Have you recently installed any software you downloaded online? Sometimes those 'freeware' programs have a agreement with advertisers about giving you advertising when your online-some even going as far as covering over real banners on a website-I just checked it out and as you have no banner and I got no pop up I can only think it must be something along those lines-BbBoy will double check of course-but for now can you go here:Talking Best Board
and at the bottom will be a 'script' you'll see that should tell you if your browser is infected with something webmasters are referring to as Scumware
. IF you are infected with it there will be steps to remove it-alot of times this is where these pop ups come from...
Are any of your other members getting them too? And also if you can get the URL of the pop up we can ID it as a Bb advertiser or not...Source code would be even nicer but might not be needed if indeed it is a shifty software bundling issue where they slipped in the user agreement that they have the right to supply you with 'targeted advertising' gator is one of these companies as is Kazaa. Sorry it's happening Arden Ranger.
