Board Plan: Free Trial

Help please! The administrator of our board (WannabeFrugal) got a new computer yesterday, and can't remember her password to get logged into the board! She can't have it sent to her, because her name is registered with an old email address that isn't active anymore. What can she do?? She sent Bbboy an email I believe, but I don't know how often he is able to check his mail.
Her name is lynn22. Thanks!

Hey! this is lynn_22. The gal with the problem. I sent support an email a few days ago, and have heard nothing! I re-registered, with a new username, about 2 days ago and haven't received my password yet. What is up???

Hi lynn_22 :smile: As soon as an BbAdmin see's your request, they'll contact you :smile:

For your new username, sometimes ISPs or other Email providers like Hotmail have a spam filter that emails get caught up in Have you checked your junk(bulk) email folder (if you has one)? :smile: If so, but didn't receive your password, you can use our Lost Password feature to have your password resent to you :smile:

Without access to the original email there really isn't much we can do for her. The only thing that I can suggest is to offer proof via IP#'s from old posts and new ones to me as in a link to threads where they'd be the same and then I can see about updating her email for her. If they have a new ISP though that won't work. If that is the case then the only alternative is to give admin powers to the new username. Perhaps there was a mistake in the email address like an extra period or a missed letter so if she can whisper the email used to make the new name I will see what I can do for her. One other thing-if the email on the OLD name was PRIVATE and she can supply the address I will talk with BbBoy to see if he would allow me to change it for her and send her password out to the new email account. :smile:

There are no new posts - she can't log in. I think she's fine with using the new name she registered- and I did give her new name admin power. The problem is, a password isn't being SENT to her new address for her new name.

Just checking back in-nothing. I am definitely fine with my new username, but I am not getting a password. Seems to me, it would be much easier if we could choose our own passwords from the beginning. Just a little frustrated here.

BTW, I have a friend who registered about 2 weeks ago, and she never got her password either.
