Ok guys, I'm getting a quad tomorrow and do I need fuel injection as opposed to a carb. The guy at the dealship said that injection is better at higher alitudes. There are more models to choose from that have carbs. I know that with my truck I will not have enything but a injecter. I know zip about atvs. Also what displacement would be exceptable in HC.

injectors are the new thing. Better performance, less problems in uneven terrain. However more expensive to buy and require dealer to work on it if it needs repair. Size depends on what you want to do. Anything over a 250cc will be ok for most people to put around on the trails. 4x4 is a definite advantage. Most trails in this area are small, tight and can be steep so the fire breathing monsters are difficult to handle. Also there very heavy to extract from those places that you should have not gone. I currently ride a 425 Polaris 6x6 with a dump bed. It is great for hauling equipment bet a beast for trail riding.

4x4 a must !!! I went to the 750cc Kawasaki because of power, 4x4, independent suspension and enough power and size to carry 2 people and some gear. Oh yea, My dog has to be on it at the same time. If you head to mine, the dog will be on it before you can start it up. Not a small dog either.

Mine is about the same size, he's a large red healer. I can't find any pics of him on the bike but there are a lot of people from the UK's that have pics.
