Does a jon boat have eny advantage over a vee shaped boat on the Klamth.

For sure. Jon boats have broad flat bottoms. That means it draws less water and hits less submerged rocks. Another big plus is the stability of the flat bottom. If you are only visiting for a short period don't rule out inflatables. The tend to be much easier to launch and recover each day and take up less room for traveling.

Rusty, I plan to be there for at least a yr. The jon's are the best price as I am going used, and there are more to chose from. The inflatable was my 1st chose.

If you are staying that long then a jon is the way to go. They are heavy enough that they don't grow legs as often as inflatables and can be left locked to the bank as opposed to hauling it home every night. They are often more forgiving of abuse.
