Maybe... I'm going to try the Illinois first, mainly because I live closer to it. Might try the Rogue later...

I'm trying to help my two young ex marines (first year dredgers) friends on the Rogue. Any advice would be appreciated. They want to get started. The Rogue is not a good place to cut their teeth but they are gun ho. For me and my boys we're going to the Umpqua, last year (my first dredging) on the Rogue was needless to say a humbling experience. But when you have the fever, just like a marine you never give up.
