USFS Opposes our Petition to the U.S. Supreme Court! ( 02:50:33 SatNov 17 2012 )

After devoting nine years defending this case in federal court against anti-mining activists, the Justice Department (Obama Administration) declined to appeal the Ninth Circuit Decision to the Supreme Court.

So now we find out that they have just filed a brief in Opposition to our Petition!

Let’s see: They fought hard and long for the rights of small-scale miners all the way through the Ninth Circuit. And now that we are using their very same arguments in the U.S. Supreme Court, they are taking sides with the anti-mining activists!

Give me a break!

I don't know for sure, but it sure seems like the someone, that was willing to side with small scale miners in the USFS, has "retired" and someone else, that is lining their pockets with "environmentalist gold", has taken over the fight against small scale miners. Just sayin'...........

Wasn't the very case of this continuing fiasco that the USFS was just going to roll over and sign away everything of the miners away? If I recall correctly it was at this point that New 49ers stepped in and gained intervener status. A few others tried but were denied. Also if as I recall the USFS flipped and then supported the miners?
