Scared of the dark
Mike normally walks Heskey last thing at night but i have just had the pleasure of this while he was away. I live in a less than celubrious area of Carlisle so am always a little aprehensive about going to the field in the dark. So i thought to myself, i have a big brave boxer who will protect me so what the hell. What a joke......oh mam look theres a bogey man....run away. oh look mam theres one of those prickley little bogey men (hedgehog) lets bark at it...oh no, it moved.....RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!! Dont know who was more freaked by the end of it. (PS the hedgehog won!!)

When Daz meets known or new wildlife that does not run away. He will invariably, approach it, sniff it, then lift his leg and wee on it. I think this means that they are accepted into Daz-world.
If the wildlife runs away, it has just initiated the "chase-me" game, one of Daz's favourite games.

Our last dog wouldn't go into the garden for a pee ect if it was dark unless he had one of us with him LOL

The joys of night time walks, your not on your own Liz - Tash is easily spooked, thankfully Molly is the exact opposite so I have a pretty good balance. You can borrow Molly if you like although be warned she is a bit of a handful sometimes!!

Polo is a great big coward - he won't walk past people at bus stops, hates cars parked with engines running (especially if the radio is also playing) and anything that is 'different' he hates.
A cul-de-sac we often go down to one of his favourite walks usually has a car parked outside a house, one day the car was parked at a totally different angle and Polo didn't even want to go down the road when he spotted it as soon as he turned the corner, he is such a wuss:smash6: and if anyone comes to the door he will bark - but only from a safe distance, if they then come in the house he'll run away. Still, I'm sure the barking alone would scare off any unsavoury character :spinsmile:

I have to admit, I am too scared of the dark to even consider walking Sasha in it!

The only thing Sasha is a little unsure of at the moment is the other white boxer that lives in the back of our fireplace - whenever she goes up the to the nice shiney surface, that darned dog is always there looking back at her!! She has to go and check it several times a day and yep, it's always there watching her!

We had one of those for a couple of days. It took Daz's ball, he was not happy. I had to intervene before something got broken.
