I am a little concerned cause the tip of her ears have split and when she shakes they open and bleed.. we have bandaged her whole head but the poor baby was so embarrassed that she wouldn't leave the couch and she started to rub herself to get it off... (that lasted an hour and I took it off!!) I can only do so much to stop her from splitting it open with her shakes and the Kennel has been keeping her in a small enough cage so she can't shake but I don't like that.. I am at a catch 22 here cause she moves in with me at the end of next week so I don't have her yet but the lady at the kennel is open to anything.. please help if you have an idea!! we are gonna talk to the vet today for ideas but to be honest I am not fussy on the vet they use for now. Thank you for reading...

How about a strip of anti-septic gause, enough to cover both sides of the split area, and this held on by the minimum of plaster/tape. This would keep the wound clean, cushion the tender area from impact, and be less stressful than bandages. Perhaps change the dressing daily if it does get bloody.

Is there any way you could speed up the process at all? Is there any reason you are taking it so slowly - behavioural issues etc?
We tend to introduce the dogs at the kennels and if all goes well the dog goes home and that's it. Rarely are there any problems afterwards.
She could also be shaking her head through stress and forming bad kennel habits? That's why I was wondering if you could speed it up?
Good luck x
