Spooky!!

Last night Bill took Polo a walk and came home with a rather strange tale.

They had walked to the next village and were going to head through the churchyard and along the river back home, a walk we've done many times, although usually the other way round.

As they were walking towards the church approaching a local pub Bill said some people came out of the pub with a young girl, nothing untoward, no-one was talking, but Polo took fright at something  and turned round running full pelt, with Bill only just managing to hang on to him and keep up :bolt:

When he finally stopped Bill said his heart was absolutely pounding (Polo's) and there was no way he would go back the way they had intended. Even going back the way they had come he kept looking over his shoulder, and even when he got back home he didn't look happy at all

Both the church and the pub are very old, and our eldest daughter said the pub is supposed to be haunted by a young girl who has been seen sitting in the dining room there, so of course we started the teasing saying were the silent people with the young girl floating, which way did they go (Bill thought they headed towards the church/churchyard - back to their graves?) We were laughing but Polo was definitely not a happy bunny - makes you wonder :ohwell: We'll try taking him back that way to see what his reaction is, wish us luck.

Re: Spooky!!

Heehee, Bill took him back the same way last night, but Polo wouldn't even go past the pub where you turn off into the village towards the other pub & church, no way would he even entertain it. We'll have to try from the other direction. Our eldest daughter works in a local hotel/restaurant which was converted from an old house and is reported to have several ghosts, she said we'll have to take him on a tour - mind you I think if he freaked she would never go back to work again :bolt:
