We have had previous threads on here about lawn burning from wee and, apart from following our wee girls around with a watering can, nothing really stops it.
Well apparently, according to the This Morning gardener, if you put a tablespoon of ketchup in their food, it helps neutralise the acid and cuts down on lawn burn?? I know ketchup has been shown to help tear staining but I didn't know about lawn burn. Think I will give it a go

I read that too but people I know that have tried it said it doesn't work. maybe they didn't put it in consistantly enough though.

Im not lawn proud however I dont get the lawn staining and perhaps its co-incidence but ours get a Cranberry capsule per day - could try putting some juice in their water?

I'll definitely give this a try. Helen, do you give the cranberry capsule for something else then?

That's what I was thinking. I can see why it may work on the lawn because it does help neutralise the acid in urine for urine infections etc. Where do you get them from - this to me sounds the better choice!
