We have had terribly severe weather in Indiana this week. Several tornadoes and flooding. It has finally got above freezing temps but I'd rather have snow than all of this! Anyway...on our land we had sevearl Mother Nature made ponds. I let the boys out yesterday, my day off, and was feeding them and getting everything else ready. I was keeping an eye on them but apparently missed the part where they rolled in mud baths! I called them in and Tucker, who is the white boxer pup, was obviously a mess. His pretty white coat was now all mud brown with twigs sticking to him. I got him into the bathroom but he got away and jumped ON MY BED! After finally getting him bathed and all white again, I noticed that the spot where Tyson was patiently waiting was a mud stain the shape of a boxer!
He got his bath next. After their baths I had to wash their collars, do the laundry from the towels we used and rugs in the bathroom, clean, bleach & mop the bathroom and the foyer where they came in, clean the comforter, their blankets AND the carpet where the tracked in mud (and where Tyson laid down). I wasn't at all pleased when my husband called to ask what I did on my day off with nothing to do!! Whoever said having boxers was easy????

Hee hee, that cheered me up! Snoop is just the same. After giving him a bath last night before he goes to be netured this morning (as requested by vet) I let him out in the garden this morning to do his business. I wasnt until i got him in the car i realised he had been digging and had black legs!!! Needless to say the vet wasnt happy........

Yes. I can laugh now. At the time there were both in big trouble and they knew it. Once things settled down they were exhausted and napped. The puppy couldn't get close enough to me. It would have been a whole lot funnier if my husband had been the one at home to deal with it!!
