Re: Tear stains

Next question is where do I get it from? I went to the dogstuff website following the earlier link, but it didn't work?

Sasha hated the stuff I used on her before - it smelt like a alcohol solution? Is Kleen Face like that??

Re: Tear stains

Thanks Jacquie - had another read through the post and found the phone number. Will give it a try and see what happens.

Am a bit worried with Sasha's skin to be honest? I have actually avoided bathing her recently because of it.

Under her neck she looks like she has a rash, but when you move it around a look closer it's just lots of little patches of dry skin (well I think so anyway??). Anyone else seen that?? I dont want to use any chemicals on it just in case?

Re: Tear stains

Hown old is Sasha?

Normaly about 16 to 18 months they start to get spots and sometimes dry skin. It's due to hormone changes and a bit like being a teenager.

Have you tried bathing it with tee tree oil in some warm water? That sometimes works as well. Let me know how you get on.

Re: Tear stains

She is 14 months old now. She has a couple of spots under her chin, but I knew what those were as my last girl had them!

I suppose rashes etc are more noticeable on whites that other colours!!

Thanks for the tea tree advice, will let you know how it goes. Have ordered the Kleen Face 5.55 for 200ml and a couple quid p&P - bargain!

Thanks again

Re: Tear stains

I did Sasha's neck and chin with an aromatherapy remedy for eczema. It was so funny watching her trying to lick it off!!! She could smell all this good stuff but of course it was under her chin and in all the places her tongue couldn't reach - needles she was extremely hacked off with me by the end of it all!!

Will see how that goes and use the Kleen face once it arrives.

Jacqui + everyone

Are you still using this product ? Katie has the dreaded stains. Could anyone let me have the name/address of the petshop and cost. I dont buy online and prefer not to do it over the phone either if I can help it. Old fashioned and like to write cheques to send off!!!!

Thanks

K

Re: Tear stains

The company is called Dog Stuff UK, phone number 020 8337 0080

I ordered the kleen face 200ml which cost me 5.65. They said they would let me know how much the postage was when the took the card details and would send the receipt etc in with the kleen face.

Those kind people didnt charge me postage and the goods arrived within a few days!! Try mentioning our website - I did

Let us know how it goes. I have been using it periodically on Sasha's muzzle as I find it gets "grubby". As soon as I get the bottle out, she sits there and waits for me!!

OK will do, try next week.

In meantime I tried a weak saline solution which has been quite effective. It was co-incidence as Katie being a typical Boxer puppy stuck her head somewhere she shouldnt and cut the side of her nose so I was cleaning that up and decided to wipe away the stains and it has been a bit of a success but not totally if you see what I mean.
