Tizzy's operation

Here is Tizzy Loo after her surgery today. She looks so sore

The collar is going to be a nightmare! She just carries on as if it isn't there, she has already barged through my legs with it!! eek We are all going to be battered after 10 days.

She was desperate to be fed when she came in, so has already had rice and scrambled eggs, but just wants more. Spent ages stood with her head hanging over her bowl, hoping for some more.

She has finally gone to sleep after nearly falling over with her head hanging, bless her.

This is not a happy face

Trying to stay standing

Later on that evening

You can see the single stitch on her face here where he removed the lump. The stitching on her right side goes right up past her eye

awh poor little love, that looks like a sore surgery.

Karen you can get new soft comfy collars now, might even be worthwhile getting one in for any future treatments. Here is a link. Those Buster collars are just so lethal!

Re: Tizzy's operation

I don't think it would be best in this case Helen, she would just be able to rub her face along it.

She had another restless night last night, but we are taking her out for a walk today, so hopefully that will cheer her up!

Re: Tizzy's operation

Don't be fooled by the face, she wears it like that a lot, it has gotten her quite far in life!!

She is still restless and her face annoys her. The stitches have started getting gunky around her eyes but she goes ballistic when I try and clean them.

Tizzy is determined not to make this easy for me!!

Re: Tizzy's operation

Well Tizzy Lou had her stitches out this morning and she was a good girl and didn't need sedating

Her face still looks a little sore and she has some cream and antibiotics for another week, as well as the dreaded collar. Still no walks in the woods for another week either eek

Here are some before photos, so you can see how deep the creases were before. I think she looks better already, can't wait to see how it heals.
