Re: heart

Heskey has survived tho is shaved right up across his bum as they also gave him an epidural. Unfortunately now it doesnt hurt so much he has forgotten that technically he has a broken leg! Try telling a boxer to slow down and no you cant get on the settee!! He has whimpered every night as we have had to shut him out of the sitting room where he normally sleeps on the settee......ah well only another 5 1/2 weeks to go!!

Re: heart

It's amazing how quickly they recover & are up and about walking on their leg again, probably a novelty after hopping around for a while on 3 legs :mischief:

Hi All, Heskeys op went well, the only problem now is that it doesnt hurt anymore so he forgets he has a broken leg!!!! He is now becoming a wayward child who wants to be out for more than 10 minutes at a time and wants off the lead to run......oh well only 5 more weeks to go!!

Re: heart

Hi All
Heskey had his check up and things are healing well (for a boxer or so the vet says). Bones are showing signs of knitting but he still has some inflamation and some thickening of his tendon. He might always have a bit of a limp but atleast it wont hurt him. So he is still on lead walks only, which is a bit of a bugger as he goes frost/snow crazy!!!! Now i just need to find a physio for him and they are saddly lacking in north Cumbria. The vet does have one who works one day a week, but getting across Shap in winter is not a good idea. Have found a human physio who is willing to do it, but as she is not registered as a dog physio insurance wont pay. Its a good job Heskey is so cute or i would tell him to go get a job and pay his own vet bills!!
