allergic reaction

Oh no!! my baby zeus has had an allergic reaction to something.
I was really worried and called the vets, the lady sugested piriton so i rushed to the chemist and within half hour hes looking a lot better :roundnround:
Does anyone know if this might be related to my baby being deaf? Will he always suffer with allergic reactions? Does a bath help him? Hope someone can help

Elaine

Re: allergic reaction

Hi Elaine, hope Zeus is feeling much better. Polo has only ever once (touch wood) had a reaction - he'd obviously eaten something - we think it may have been leaves from a geranium plant - and saliva was absolutely pouring from his mouth - we'd not had him long & were panicking, thinking we were going to have a really drooly dog, but thankfully it soon passed (the geraniums were moved to the front garden)
If you scroll down & have a look at some of the other posts in 'problems' you'll be able to read about other's experiences with allergic reactions (along with photos) - I doubt very much that Zeus being deaf is related to this reaction. Hopefully it will be a one off - do you know what he reacted to?

Linda.

Re: allergic reaction

Was he covered in raised hives? It can happen, always looks worse than it is. Piriton very helpful. Handy to keep some in house. We always found hives connected to time of year. May happen again but dont worry. If our babies had long hair, we would not even be aware of it, as much anyway!!!
