New puppy!

Hi,
I am new to the site, having found it on the net. I have just bought a white bitch, 9 weeks old. :jump:Picking her up on Sunday. We are really looking forward to her joining us. Any really useful tips for the first couple of weeks??

Regards to all. Will post pictures of her as soon as she as she is home.

Jason.

Well Hi there! :welcome:Look forward to the Pics. My boy is nearly 3 now but I remember how excited we were before we got him - I am Georgie and his name is Gixer (another bike connection!)

Re: New puppy!

:welcome: I can remember how excited I was when we were getting Poppy (she's 10 and a half months now). Do you have a name for her or any photos? I love puppy pictures!

My tip would be to stock up on puppy pads. Its unbelievable the amount you go through at first, unless you are planning on using newspaper instead but I found these were great because they soak the pee up. Also lots of puppy toys to chew on. A tip I got on here was to start early with putting her lead on and just walking in the house so she would get used to it and you wont have a problem when you are able to start taking her outside.

HTH, I was a complete novice when I came here but have picked up lots of usefull tips.

How exciting :jump:

Do you have a name for her yet :excited:

Look forward to seeing lots of photos and hearing plenty of stories.

I agree with Louise, puppy pads and more puppy pads - they are invaluable and much easier to deal with than newspaper

That and the 1001 pet stain remover - it helps remove the scent of the wee as they tend to go in the same place if they can still smell it. Buy plenty, as you will go through loads!!

Most importantly - have fun!!!!!!!! :jump:

Re: New puppy!

:wowsmilie: What a welcome. Yep a biker! The used name gives it away a bit. We have decided to call her Bobbi. This is taken from her pedigree name. 4 days and counting!!!
Will stock up on puppy pads then.
