The snow has come and lying in Aberdeen, we got 2 inch overnight alone. Daz is in his element, jumping about, eating it, rolling in it, it's like he reverts to 3 months old when in the snow. He has a mission to catch ever snowflake before it hits the ground.

No such luck here - not fair!! Just 70mph winds and rain! If Sasha leaves the house at all today it will be a miracle!

 Polo loves snow and like Daz tries to catch as many flakes as he can, unfortunately we don't get much here, although last year we had a good covering on Christmas Day, it was quite magical :roundnround: |

Finally snowed here too! The kids are enjoying it while they can. Weather channel says that we are going to warm some and lose the little bit of snow that we got  Here's a pic of our deck that I took this morning....

All our snow has disappeared through the day, the city is clear. In land still have problems.
Is Eddie putting on a bit of weight, or did he put on someone elses coat this morning?  |

We had snow too - started last night around 10ish. Katie didnt know what to make of it when she went out. Think she was half scared when this wet white stuff started to hit her. She reacted like she does when it rains - leaps up in the air, looks round at herself and tries to beat her way back into the house! Rosie has always loved snow and wandered on out, Katie decided to follow and began thinking that maybe she just might like this cold white stuff. Ha, then the problem was to get her back in again!!:roundnround:
Inspiration came in the form of two snowballs thrown past her - that got her attention. Another couple thrown into the conservatory had her zooming past me! It thawed today though. I think we might get more though according to the forecast for next week. We have had the gales too - making walking trecherous. Niki - that is brilliant where you are - deep snow..... We had snow flurries, but it has just been blowing a hoolie with hailstones - not pleasant. Our local weather forecasters said it hadn't been as bad as they were expecting - watch the national news though and it's the "worst weather" they have had this year!!
I was watching the news about that traffic stuck on Bodmin moor - was it just me or did the road look fairly clear? Seen worse roads than that on a daily basis up here!! I think everyone just panicked with all the hype the press had given this cold snap! Love the look of your weather Nicki!! Does that mean the hot tub is out of action now???!!

Eddie had gained ALOT of weight, but he has actually just lost 8lbs!!! Found out it was his Thyroid so the meds are helping him lose weight slowly now.
You guys get much snow?? That picture is what we call just a small snow, not much at all! I will get more pictures as the winter goes on so that you can see that we get much more! It pretty though. It looks really nice with all of the houses with their colorful christmas lights against the snow. Maybe I can get some night pictures. The hot tub is NOT closed! We will use it MORE now that we did all summer! Its to hot to use it most of the summer unless you get out later at night. This is the best time of year for the tub! We went in last night! Very pretty at night with the snow!

NOT FAIR!!!!!
We hardly ever get snow in London - the city is just too warm. We have to make do with seeing all the snow on the TV. I absolutely love the snow. We didn't even get a frost on the cars whilst everyone else has had snow and it has settled. It has to be extremely cold everywhere else before we even get a few snowflakes - Its just rain all the way for us!!!! I'm going away to sulk now!!!

Be thankfull you dont live near the lake district, its never warm and it always blooming rains! Im just so jealous of the folks with snow. Its so bad im having to head off to wintery climes just to get a fix before christmas!

LOL I have never heard anyone complain about not getting enough snow....then again I am in Ontario Canada! We are usually praying for the snow to go away by March. There are good and bad with the snow. I love the snow for the first couple months. We have snowmobiles so thats really fun! We also ice skate on ponds and outdoor rinks. My favorite is the sledding!! Another fun thing is our town has a tree burning after christmas that is great! We burn the christmas trees at the fairgrounds at night. Its a HUGE fire! There are also hotdogs on a bbq and hot chocolate. And there is an outdoor rink so we skate too. The whole town shows up!
BUT with snow, comes very cold, bad roads, snow in the way! You have to shovel and plow. Travelling can be a challenge sometimes just to get to town to get groceries! You have to bundle up for the cold and wet, AND winter is horrrible for your hair! Not to mention the snow and mud getting in your house! Pipes freeze, cars don't start.... There see, snow isn't all good, so try not to feel to bad! Hey anytime you guys want to see snow, come on to my house!! LOL

It all sounds very romantic Nicki, but then it always does from the other side of the fence!!
I like it when it snows for a couple of days and we get a good build up, but it is gone within a week so you dont get a chance to get bored with it! Love it when you have all the "dead" snowmen on green lawns - always makes me smile that one!
