Things in Three's??

Ok, I can't figure out if I am still on a run of three or have just started a new run of bad luck, but I broke my big toe today and am on crutches for god knows how long!! I fell down the stairs this afternoon carrying some washing (am thinking I may develop a phobia of washing now!!) Got fracture clinic in a week to ten days and have to rest it completely til then!!

Add to that, Natalie's op and the fact that the car has been in bits for nearly three weeks and you are getting the picture of my run of bad luck!! Trouble is, we got the car back yesterday, but it had to go back to the garage today because all the wiring has gone weird!! Oh well not as if I could drive it now anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor old Sasha was going nuts with me sat at the bottom of the stairs bawling my eyes out!! She just wanted to give me lots of boxer love - unfortunately that seemed to involve stepping on my bloody foot!! Bless her, she did try.

Can someone please send me some good karma?? I promise to avoid all midgies when I am driving!!

Hubby is here at the moment Linda - was all his fault, if he had been doing the washing I wouldnt have fallen down the stairs!! (Just kidding)

However, he is due to go to Cosford (Shrops) next Sunday for a four week course - lovely!! Just hoping they dont decide to pot me at the fracture clinic! As long as I am good, it should be ok.

Re: Things in Three's??

Ok, I have now discovered that using crutches around a boxer is a delicate process!! Sasha seems to think they are great fun and I have to be very careful and watch that she doesn't grab one as I swing past her!!!

Jacquie, Rob is on a different course from Derek I think. he is going because two RAF trades are being merged and he has to learn a whole other trade!! A multi-tasking man -I may have to put him in the circus!!

Re: Things in Three's??

Karen - a colleague of mine broke her ingers doing exactly the same thing last week except that one of her children had spilt a drink on her laminate floor at the bottom of the stairs - she slipped grabbed for the door to break her fall and the dorr shut hard on her fingers!!!! I think she said something along the lines of when I get hold of that child I will break their ****** ******* neck.

You women truly are beyond belief, you see a bloke would have just chucked the washing either on the floor by the bed or down the stairs meaning either you never do any washing or have both hands free when you do fall - so whilst women think we are just plain lazy in fact we are extremly crafyt and cunning!!

Seriously I do hope you feel better soon and that everything comes right soon.

best wishes from us all in South Wales, Paul

Well the toe is on the mend, although apparently I have damaged the cartilege in the "knuckle" and can look forward to arthritus very soon!!

Rest of the good news is ............ the car probably has to go back to the garage and have its gear box removed AGAIN because the tossers who fixed it have done a c***p job and the bearings have gone. 2/3 more weeks without a car in the summer holidays - oh goody!!

Anyone fancy joining me on the Clifton Suspension Bridge??!!!!
