An apologetic hello

Hi Guys,

I am so sorry for not being on here more often! Things with Boxer Welfare Scotland keep me so busy that I rarely have time for "play" and when I do, I am too pooped to even bother.

My health has been a bit rubbish recently and my ME has taken a bit of a hold, but I am working on getting it sorted.

Christopher has thoroughly enjoyed his first year at Uni and passed all his exams, and Charlotte has just passed her Highers etc, so her dream of Uni is also one step closer!

The "girls" are doing fab. Tizzy has fully recovered from her "face lift" and we have now taken her off atopica for her allergies. She still has them, but we treat her with antihistamines and just keep her clean and stop her scratching. She will never be clear of them, but she is no more or less symptomatic than when she was on the atopica, so that's fine by us.

Sasha will be 7 in September! I can't beleive she is 7 already - my wee baby girl. She is just fab and still as loopy as the day we got her, if not more so for some reason.

Jaffa the cockatoo is still happy and loving us as much as we love her!

I wont promise to come on here more often, because I would only let you down! I haven't forgotten the Whitestuff I promise xx

Hope you are feeling ok soon! I have Rheumatoid arthritis and know nothing is worse than having a flare up, and i guess ME is pretty much the same - especially with the need to sleep so much.

Take care for now and hope we all hear from you soon

Liz

Re: An apologetic hello

Thank you ladies xx

Liz, I had RA when I was in my early 20's, it affected my hands, knees and elbows mainly. It settled for a while although I was left with painful joints.

I am off to a rheumatologist soon as my hands are really bad again and I am in wrist splints most of the time. One of my few pleasures in life is BWS and all the admin I do with that, but even that is becoming hard now to be honest. I refuse to give it up though!

Hopefully I'll turn the corner again, haven't walked my girls since May and really miss trekking through the woods with them.

Thank you again for your good wishes xx

Re: An apologetic hello

hope rhumatologist can ease your RA :luck:I've had arthritis since I was 3 and know how debilitating and painful it can be, I was also diagnosed with lupus last year and the flair ups are a right royal pain in the ass. Drives my babies mad cos I can't keep up with them tho Ozzy is a mummy's boy and keeps coming back to check on me and they really hate the walking stick

Re: An apologetic hello

Thank you for your kind comments. Thankfully I don't have arthritis or anything like that. My rheumatologist diagnosed me with fibromyalgia on top of the ME. I have new meds to take that are hopefully going to help me sleep.

Things are getting better, slowly, but at least they are improving xx
