Ford CVH 1.9l into 68 beetle

I just got a 68 beetle no motor, have a 1.9l ford escort with blown trans....

Seeing if anyone has attempted a CVH swap. The 1.9 is supposed to be the same on the bellhousing side as the 1.6 of older days' escorts, but with a taller deck for the extended stroke. This should be the same to bolt up as the early 1980's 1.6 escorts' block which Kennedy has an adapter kit for.

I plan to keep the SEFI system, stock fuel system, and most of the stock intake system from the escort, but buy a pacesetter header and modify it for non-transverse mounting. Probably going to go with a home-built "cold air" intake system with a generic 3" cone filter and delete all of the evap system parts.

I am going to put the kenney stage 1 clutch on eventually, but for now, I have new stock disc and pressure plate sitting around for first run and working out the "bugs" with the swap.

Questions for the forum:

what troubles do you all foresee? Should I mount the radiator in back above the engine, inside with big fans, or in the front with modifications to the hood? I was planning to get the fiberglass "prostock" front clip because I am modifying so much of the sheet metal up front anyway... Will I need some additional mounts for the inline four or can I trust a solid mount for the VW trans?

Any thoughts or input will be appreciated.
